The group BABYMONSTER opened the curtain on their first fan concert in Japan in Chiba with an even more diverse setlist and a powerful start.
YG Entertainment said BABYMONSTER drew a total of 20,000 attendees over the two days at 'BABYMONSTER [LOVE MONSTERS] JAPAN FAN CONCERT 2025,' held on the 15th and 16th at Lalaport Arena Tokyo Bay in Chiba, Japan, and turned the venue into a frenzy with overwhelming performances.
This fan concert was a solo show presented about seven months after their first Japan tour, and the excitement that saw every show sell out on the previous tour continued unabated. Chiba, the starting point, produced a heated atmosphere with fans' high expectations, with cheers ringing out beyond the venue.
The opening stage unfolded with 'WE GO UP,' which shone as BABYMONSTER's first No. 1 on the Oricon chart. BABYMONSTER instantly ignited the venue with overpowering live vocals and energetic performances. Audience members also stood for hit stages such as 'SHEESH' and 'DRIP,' responding with chorus singing and raising the energy.
As this was BABYMONSTER's first solo concert after releasing mini album 2 [WE GO UP], they continued the momentum by showcasing a deeper musical color and new charms through stages unveiled for the first time at this concert, including 'PSYCHO,' 'SUPA DUPA LUV' and 'WILD.'
Detailed stage production such as lighting, lasers, fireworks and fire pillars, combined with lively performances by the dedicated band, maximized BABYMONSTER's distinctive intense stage energy. In addition, the official lightstick pairing, dance challenges, Q&A, moving car and signed balls added to the fun of the fan concert with various elements that engaged the audience.
BABYMONSTER said, "It was our first visit to Chiba and we were deeply moved to face such warm cheers in person. It was even happier to be able to see each and every bright face up close, and Monsties' passionate support gave us great strength. We will not forget today's feelings and will repay you with even better performances going forward."
Riding a rising trend after topping major music and album charts in Japan with mini album 2 [WE GO UP], BABYMONSTER is solidifying its presence by appearing across major local music programs such as Nippon TV's Bazurizumu and Yomiuri TV's year-end music special 'Best Hit Song Festival 2025.' They also plan to open pop-up stores consecutively in key city centers, starting with the large mixed-use shopping mall Lalaport in central Tokyo.
Starting with the Chiba shows, BABYMONSTER will perform eight shows in four Japanese cities: IG Arena in Nagoya, Aichi, on the 22nd and 23rd; Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Dec. 2 and 3; and Hyogo's Cerezo Arena Kobe on Dec. 6 and 7. In addition, they will expand the tour to Asia with shows at Impact Arena in Bangkok on Dec. 27 and 28 and Taipei Arena on Jan. 2 and 3, 2026, continuing a fan concert series spanning six cities and 12 shows in total. Also, at midnight tonight (0 a.m. on the 19th), they will release the music video for 'PSYCHO,' a track from mini album 2 [WE GO UP].
