The first winning country of Physical: Asia will be decided today (18th).
Physical war featuring eight Asian countries' flags, 'Physical: Asia', will crown the winning country of the series' first national competition in episodes 10, 11 and 12 (finale), which are released today (18th).
Physical: Asia has, since its first release on Oct. 28, multiplied the enjoyment of the national competition with each country's never-give-up spirit, various strategies and teamwork. The unpredictable great matches delivered catharsis, and the sportsmanship that showed mutual respect after fierce contests provided a moving emotional impact.
As it captivated viewers around the world, hot battles unfold within the huge quests until the end. Currently, the surviving countries are four out of eight. It is worth wondering which country will have the final smile among Korea, which sent its top players in power with bold moves; Japan, which secured a place in the fifth quest early with careful tactics and excellent skills; Mongolia, which survived each quest with fierce momentum; and Australia, a strong favorite with overwhelming physicality.
Earlier, in episodes 7-9, Japan beat Australia to take first place in the fourth quest rope relay and advanced directly to the fifth quest. While Japan smiled first, the fourth quest deathmatch was a 1,200 kg pillar-rolling. Through an extreme quest that required turning a terrifyingly heavy pillar reminiscent of a lazy hell 100 times, the lowest-ranked country was set to be eliminated.
And the fifth quest, where three countries face off, heralds another massive scale unique to the 'Physical' series. In the 'castle conquest' where each team's strategy and unity are important, the two countries that survive will decide the champion through the long-awaited final. How each team effectively demonstrates various physical skills and how well they devise tactics to complete the quests will determine victory or defeat and explode viewer immersion.
The final, with the strongest countries remaining, promises three extreme games. Since both countries are strong teams that survived until the end, the outcome is expected to be determined by spirit, strategy and teamwork. The intense classic matches to determine the country with the most perfect physicality will make it impossible to look away for a moment.
Physical: Asia recorded 3,600,000 views (the number of views divided by the work's total running time) from Nov. 3 to Nov. 9, ranking third in the global top 10 TV shows (non-English) for two consecutive weeks. While taking first place in four countries, it also appeared on the top 10 lists in 26 countries worldwide, including Korea, Australia, the Philippines, Türkiye, Finland and the United Arab Emirates, continuing its hot global popularity.
Meanwhile, interest is rising over which country will win the war fought under national flags, and Physical: Asia will be released on Netflix today (18th) at 5 p.m.
