Professor Kim Sang-wook, who shocked the public by being admitted to the intensive care unit after being diagnosed as moments away from a heart attack, will reveal the situation at the time himself on 'You Quiz on the Block'.
Professor Kim Sang-wook said on his social media account on the 18th, "I will appear on 'You Quiz' this Wednesday. The staff who contacted me said they were requested to invite me because many people are curious about my health."
Professor Kim Sang-wook added, "News about my health was spread excessively widely, and so many people asked after me that I thought it would be good to go on the show and convey my regards. I thought it would be somewhat heavy in tone, but it was such an enjoyable time that I felt a little embarrassed."
During last month's Chuseok holiday, Professor Kim Sang-wook experienced sudden physical abnormalities and visited the emergency room in the middle of the night, where he was diagnosed as being moments away from a heart attack and was admitted to the intensive care unit to receive an emergency cardiovascular stent procedure.
Professor Kim Sang-wook later said, "I received an emergency cardiovascular stent procedure. According to the attending physician, it was a situation where, had a heart attack occurred, there would have been no words to say. The procedure finished well and I am recovering quickly now. Living in the intensive care unit and the ward, I newly realized how many people at the hospital are suffering and working hard. I sincerely thank the medical staff who saved my life."
In the pre-release clip of 'You Quiz on the Block' released along with this, Professor Kim Sang-wook recalled the situation and said, "I thought I had a slight upset stomach or indigestion. I went to the hospital and was told I was at the stage just before a heart attack, so I might not have been here."
The episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' depicting Professor Kim Sang-wook's story will air on Wednesday the 19th at 8:40 p.m.
