Comedian Seo Kyung-seok opened up about the pain hidden behind his intellectual image.
On the 17th broadcast of KBS2 'Let's live together with Park Won-sook', Seo Kyung-seok appeared as a guest and collaborated with Park Won-sook, Hye Eun-yi, Hong Jin-hee and Hwang Seok-jeong.
While enjoying autumn in Buyeo, Park Won-sook, Hye Eun-yi, Hong Jin-hee and Hwang Seok-jeong transformed into Baekje female warriors and spent time practicing Korean traditional martial arts and swordsmanship. Hye Eun-yi had been a budding martial artist who five years earlier had said she wanted to learn tai chi, and Hwang Seok-jeong raised expectations by performing Dangrang martial arts with nimble movements. After encountering traditional martial arts such as twin-sword dance, the lady of the boat changed into Baekje-style attire and succeeded in cutting bamboo with a real sword.
Next, the four visited a traditional culture university that carries on history. Expectations rose when it was confirmed that the artisans they had met earlier all attended this school, and Hye Eun-yi jokingly spread fake news by saying, "Isn't Park Won-sook giving a lecture today?" and was warned. While touring the campus, Hong Jin-hee met students and asked about modern blind-dating and meeting culture, dreaming of pink excitement.
While heading to the student cafeteria, Hong Jin-hee, along with Hye Eun-yi, asked 2025 students from the class of '25 about their recognition. Hong Jin-hee revealed she had appeared in the movie 'Sunny', and the students recognized her. In response, Hong Jin-hee boasted, "Shall I curse them once?" and delivered a hearty double curse, drawing laughter. The four arrived at the student cafeteria, completed their orders at the kiosk and finished their lunch.
At that moment, the day's guest Seo Kyung-seok appeared. After graduating from Seoul National University, Seo Kyung-seok debuted as a comedian and rose to stardom working as a duo with Lee Yoon-seok. When he appeared, Hong Jin-hee asked, "Didn't Jo Hye-ryeon dump you?" Seo Kyung-seok laughed heartily and emphasized it was fake news, saying, "Are you saying Jo Hye-ryeon dumped me? We're not involved at all." It turned out she had a big crush on him, and Hong Jin-hee said, "Jo Hye-ryeon told me Seo Kyung-seok is so handsome. Jo Hye-ryeon's ideal type was an intellectual man."

Seo Kyung-seok is currently attracting attention as a versatile talent, even publishing a Korean history book. Seo Kyung-seok said, "I'm living doing the things I want to do. One of them is Korean history. I took the Korean history proficiency test four times. I intended to stop after taking it twice, but when I posted my Korean history study process on YouTube, subscribers reacted explosively. On the third test I scored 99 points. And I have been donating my talent by teaching Korean history to seniors. I took it together with them and scored 100 points." Hye Eun-yi bluntly said, "You came out to brag," drawing laughter. Seo Kyung-seok explained, "I have a goal to become a Korean history storyteller, but since I'm not a major, I wanted to start with a nationally recognized exam."
Seo Kyung-seok and Hwang Seok-jeong formed a bond over studying things consistently and maintaining curiosity. Seo Kyung-seok said, "No. There are many pseudo-intellectuals. Many are also scammed. I was scammed a lot too. I was scammed out of money and people's hearts as well." When Park Won-sook happily called herself a 'fellow victim of fraud', Seo Kyung-seok suggested, "Let's have a meeting sometime," which tempted Park Won-sook.
With Seo Kyung-seok joining, the five visited the studio of students who preserve tradition and met students painting traditional paintings. They encouraged students who were painting things like the ferry used during King Jeongjo's procession to Hwaseong and scenes from the tale of Sim Cheong, then moved to receive Seo Kyung-seok's history lecture. Seo Kyung-seok, who said he wanted to become a Korean history storyteller, received applause as he explained the unification of the Three Kingdoms to late-blooming students in an easy and entertaining way.
