'Hip-pop Princess' met Studio Choom (STUDIO CHOOM) and produced an unprecedented synergy.
The performance video of Mnet's Unpretty Rapstar: Hip-pop Princess (hereafter "Hip-pop Princess") for 'DAISY (Prod. Gaeko)', released on the Mnet digital studio channel Studio Choom on the 17th (Mon), is drawing a strong response. This video is content presented through a collaboration between Studio Choom, known for its high-quality visuals and polished performances, and the Korea-Japan joint survival show "Hip-pop Princess," and it has attracted attention as the full version of the performance for the hit track 'DAISY (Prod. Gaeko)' has been unexpectedly released.
'DAISY (Prod. Gaeko)' is a track that uses 'soil, rain, wind, sunlight' as metaphors for the various experiences encountered in life, and its completeness was enhanced with backing from Hip-pop Princess' main producer Gaeko. The participants embedded their experiences, such as the frustrations they faced at the threshold of debut, into the lyrics, and the practice process of building the stage from an intro shaped like a flower was revealed, showcasing their self-producing capabilities.
The video released on Studio Choom focuses attention by presenting the full version of team A's performance of 'DAISY (Prod. Gaeko)', which received the highest score in the second-track competition 'main producer new song mission.' The performance drew lavish praise from the main producers, with comments such as "Is there a hip-hop group rapper this good?" and "Can't the five members debut as they are?", so expectations were already high for the performance to be recreated on Studio Choom. Along with each individual's strong presence, Studio Choom's characteristic high-definition visuals and dynamic camerawork maximize the performance's immersiveness and are drawing a positive response.
Fans' reactions are also hot. In the performance video, in which Hip-pop Princess participants directly took part in writing rap lyrics and creating choreography, praise and support for the members poured in, with comments such as "Let's make it to debut," "Our princesses, fighting until you become queens," "I love that I can see all the details that couldn't be seen on stage," and "They're geniuses in both choreography and lyrics," adding to the excitement. At the same time, expectations are rising for the birth of a global hip-hop group capable of self-producing.
Meanwhile, Hip-pop Princess is Mnet's newly launched Korea-Japan joint hip-hop group creation project. Aiming to create a new global hip-hop group, participants take part directly in all processes, including music, choreography, styling, and video production, to reveal their own colors. Hip-pop Princess, which is preparing for the third-track competition 'True Battle,' airs every Thursday at 9:50 p.m. (KST) on Mnet and is available in Japan through U-NEXT.
