Baecam spotlights the world's top music festival Lollapalooza.
On the 20th, MBC's 64th anniversary special documentary Baecam in Lollapalooza will air.
The documentary Baecam in Lollapalooza commemorates the 35th anniversary of MBC Radio FM4U's Baechulsoo's Music Camp (abbreviated Baecam) and visits one of the world's top music festivals, the U.S. "Lollapalooza," vividly capturing the festival site and atmosphere through meetings with participating artists and Lollapalooza officials.
The 2025 Lollapalooza Festival, held in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois, U.S., from late July to early August this year, featured top pop singers such as Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as K-pop artists including BOYNEXTDOOR and Xdinary Heroes, and notably TWICE made history as the first K-pop girl group to be named a headliner, delivering a spectacular finale stage.
The documentary Baecam in Lollapalooza will vividly convey not only the heated scenes and emotions of the Lollapalooza festival but also the recent pop market trends and the rising status of K-pop among global music fans through interviews with global artist Alex Warren, who topped the Billboard charts with the recent single "Ordinary," and K-pop artists who participated in the festival such as BOYNEXTDOOR, Xdinary Heroes, and Wave to Us.
Nam Tae-jung, the CP who planned Baecam in Lollapalooza, said it is a documentary that simultaneously surveys K-pop's status in the global pop market and global music trends.
Baechulsoo's Music Camp, which marks its 35th anniversary on the air this year, began broadcasting in March 1990 and has introduced a wide range of domestic and international music and musicians to date, solidifying its position as Korea's representative music program.
