Merlin Entertainments' Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said on the 18th that it will unveil the world's first wax figure of actor Jung Haein.
Jung Haein, who marked his 10th anniversary since debut last year, drew great attention for his romantic performance with Son Ye-jin in the drama Something in the Rain.
This project came together after Madame Tussauds Hong Kong proposed making a wax figure to repay fans for their support as Jung Haein's recent work "Mom's Friend's Son" recorded high ratings, and Jung Haein happily accepted.
During the meticulous measurement process that took about five hours in Korea, Jung Haein did not lose his characteristic bright smile, and said, "Having my wax figure exhibited at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is really a wonderful experience. I never imagined I would become part of a famous attraction. I hope my wax figure can convey warm and positive energy to fans around the world."
Wade Chang, regional head of Merlin Entertainments in Hong Kong, said, "Madame Tussauds Hong Kong continuously strives to further enhance the K-Wave Zone experience. The sincerity and professionalism Jung Haein showed in his works were evident throughout this collaboration. I believe his participation will greatly contribute to regional tourism activation and the spread of Asian culture."
Haein's wax figure is scheduled to be unveiled this December in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong's K-Wave Zone and will enrich and make the Korea star zone more attractive alongside the wax figures of Hallyu stars currently on display, such as Lee Jong-seok and Suzy.
