Cortis (CORTIS) is drawing notable attention from the Japanese music market.
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) will appear on Nippon TV's popular music program with MUSIC on the 22nd. On that broadcast, they will perform the intro track "GO!" from their debut album, which gained great popularity after staying at No. 1 on Spotify Japan's "Daily Viral Songs" for five consecutive days (Sept. 11–14).
Cortis previously carried out a variety of activities in Japan over the course of a week. In particular, they attracted attention with an unusually large scale from their very first meeting with local fans. On the 3rd they were invited to perform at MUSIC EXPO LIVE 2025 at Tokyo Dome, where they left a strong impression. On the 5th they held a solo showcase at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo. After the show, five major sports papers—Daily Sports, Sankei Sports, Sports Hochi, Sports Nippon, and Nikkan Sports—ran major articles covering the news. Headlines such as "a group carrying on the legacy of BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER" and "'GO!' to the stadium" reflected the high expectations and interest in them.
Broadcasters and radio stations also buzzed. Love calls flooded in from local popular music programs including with MUSIC, which will air on the 22nd, TBS's CDTV Live! Live!, and Nippon TV's Buzz Rhythm 02. They also appeared on more than 10 information programs and radio shows, including Nippon TV's high-rated ZIP!, unusually keeping a packed schedule for a rookie.
Meanwhile, Cortis will take the halftime show stage at the Korea national football team's A match against Ghana at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 18th. They are expected to raise the crowd's cheer with their standout performance.
