ALLDAY PROJECT is coming back with new music.
ALLDAY PROJECT will release the digital single "ONE MORE TIME" today (17th) at 6 p.m. and begin promotions. This is a pre-release track ahead of their first EP, due in December, and lets listeners feel ALLDAY PROJECT's distinctive transformation that shows a different mood from their powerful debut song.
Following the debut activities that sparked a sensation, ALLDAY PROJECT is making a rapid comeback five months later and shared stories related to the new song "ONE MORE TIME" in a Q&A.
Below is ALLDAY PROJECT's new digital single "ONE MORE TIME" Q&A.
Q. This is your first comeback after debut activities. How do you feel?
Annie: Compared with when we were preparing to debut, this time I feel a bit more excitement mixed with nervousness. Of course I'm nervous about the comeback, but I'm so happy thinking that we can show fans and the public the new side of ALLDAY PROJECT that we've worked hard to prepare.
Bailey: Lately it's been so busy it doesn't feel real, but every day of working hard and preparing for the comeback is exciting. My attitude of staying humble and performing coolly on stage is always the same.
Q. How has ALLDAY PROJECT changed from debut to now?
Tarzan: Since it hasn't been long since our debut to notice big changes, I don't think there are any noticeably different points yet! We're basically keeping the same image and the feeling from our debut.
Youngseo: At debut everything was new so there were many awkward and clumsy moments, but as we handled various schedules, you can see each member becoming more comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.
Q. If you had to describe the pre-release song "ONE MORE TIME" in one word? Also, what was your first impression when you heard the song?
Annie: In one word, "run." The word "run" came to mind as soon as I first heard "ONE MORE TIME," and I was excited to imagine what feeling it would create when expressed with our five voices.
Tarzan: I want to describe it as a "roller coaster." Likewise, I was curious what colors ALLDAY PROJECT would paint when we interpreted "ONE MORE TIME."
Q. What are the highlights to watch for in the "ONE MORE TIME" music video?
Tarzan: The depictions of youth that ALLDAY PROJECT draws! Please pay attention to the various aspects of people in their 20s that we show through the video.
Bailey: If you watch the music video, you'll see how we usually hang out together! Through music and dance we express ourselves and life's catharsis in various ways, so please look forward to those parts.
Q. Were there any special episodes or memorable moments during comeback preparations? Or what feedback did members give each other, and did you inspire or help one another in any way?
Wuchan: In this new song "ONE MORE TIME" I handle vocals and even the first part. Because I needed to give a different feel and a strong impact, I remember trying many takes and attempting various tones.
Youngseo: The processes of filming the music video are especially memorable. Of course it was fun, but since it was very important we had to be careful and focused, and we supported and relied on each other, which helped us a lot!
Q. As a mixed-gender group, you likely have many distinguishing features from existing girl groups and boy groups. What does ALLDAY PROJECT cite as the benefits of being a mixed team?
Annie: I'd describe it simply as "fun." I think there's a special chemistry that only a mixed group can give. Not only are we having fun, but the fact that we can make people who watch us enjoy themselves too is a big advantage, isn't it?
Tarzan: You can create visually different pictures in videos and photo shoots and give a fresh feeling. I'd say another advantage is that the chemistry born from playful intimacy can create a more unique and cool team atmosphere.
Q. Over the past five months you've performed on music shows, festivals, events and award ceremonies, doing more than typical rookies. As you gain experience, in what areas do you feel you are growing?
Bailey: Big or small, good or bad, I learned a lot through all experiences mentally and physically. I'm enjoying every moment of that "learning"! Experiences before debut also helped a lot. The point where I feel growth is that I just like the stage more and more. The more you do it, the more!
Wuchan: Thankfully, from right after our debut many people showed interest and love, so we had many experiences in a short time. Besides musical aspects, I feel we're growing in facing the camera, taking photos, stage performance, fashion and various other areas.
Q. ALLDAY PROJECT is standing out not only in music but also in fashion, rising as a "wannabe." Do you each have distinct preferred styles? Or do you have any fashion principles you would never give up?
Tarzan: Rather than having a particular preferred style, I think it just has to look cool! If there's a principle, it's "I AM FASHION," I myself am fashion!
Bailey: I also love fashion and art. I like the way I express myself through fashion. Rather than a stubborn principle, I approach fashion with an "I LOVE FASHION" attitude.
Q. Before and after debut, is there any memorable advice or feedback you received from producer Teddy?
Wuchan: A few concise sentences come to mind. "You're rapper." "You have to always be cool."
Youngseo: Producer Teddy always emphasized that my vocals are an essential presence for the team and gave me many encouraging words, which gave me strength. He directs recordings and always pinpointed the key points, which I appreciated.
Q. Is there anything you would like to say to the public and fans who love ALLDAY PROJECT's music?
Annie: First, I want to say thank you. I am so grateful to our "Day One" (DAY ONE: ALLDAY PROJECT official fandom name), who always support us, and to everyone who loves and enjoys our music. I promise we will never forget this feeling and will be artists who live up to expectations with good performances.
Youngseo: I am deeply grateful to "Day One" and everyone who loves our music, and to repay that love I want to give joy and emotion again with new songs. Please look forward to the music ALLDAY PROJECT will show from now on!
