Actor Mu Jin-seong perfectly embodied the charm of a straightforward character.
Mu Jin-seong appeared in episodes 11 and 12 of the tvN weekend drama 'Typhoon Family (directed by Lee Na-jung·Kim Dong-hwi, written by Jang Hyun, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Imaginus·Studio PIC·Tree Studio)' broadcast on the 15th and 16th, playing the role of the 'emblematic reckless villain Pyo Hyun-jun' and leading the show's entertainment.
In that episode, Pyo Hyun-jun went to the Public Procurement Service to submit a bid to participate in a government-led project. After encountering Kang Tae-poong (played by Lee Jun-ho), he deliberately switched his item of orange juice with Kang Tae-poong's surgical gloves, igniting competition again. Despite others' attempts to stop him, the straight-ahead villain continued to push forward recklessly, doing as he pleased.
But Pyo Hyun-jun's recklessness did not last long. He lost the bid to Typhoon Family, and when his father discovered the changed delivery method for the originally bid item, orange juice, he exploded with pent-up anger and a sense of injustice, pouring out his emotions.
Mu Jin-seong amplified the villain's charm by behaving wildly, blinded by competitiveness, with snappy remarks toward Kang Tae-poong and provocative expressions, adding vitality to the drama, and he also delivered another layer of entertainment through arguments with Kang Tae-poong in which neither would back down.
In particular, as he lost his father's trust in everything he did, he expressed his suppressed feelings and with realistic acting evoked sympathy for a son who wants his sincerity acknowledged. With tears that rose amid injustice and anger, he freely conveyed an emotional whirlwind, fully revealing a character who is annoying yet sometimes slightly pathetic.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Family airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. on tvN.<
