Stray Kids (Stray Kids) left a strong impression with the music video teaser for their new song "Shinsunnol-eum," in which they transform into Jeon Woo-chi.
Stray Kids will release their new album SKZ IT TAPE (SKZ IT TAPE) "DO IT" and the double title tracks "Do It" and "Shinsunnol-eum" on Nov. 21. Ahead of that, JYP Entertainment has been sequentially releasing teasing content on its official social media channels, including a trailer, teaser images, mashup videos, instrumental clips and the "Do It" music video teaser.
On the afternoon of the 16th, they released another music video teaser for the title track "Shinsunnol-eum." The teaser takes the protagonist Jeon Woo-chi from the classic novel Jeon Woo-chi-jeon as its motif and shows Stray Kids as immortals leading goblins and enjoying lively revelry. Ink-and-wash animation rendered as if scenes have jumped out of a painting, props that reinterpret Ilwolobongdo and tiger folk paintings in a modern way, and other visual elements serve as eye-catching features. The concept, which pays homage to the dark-hero immortal Jeon Woo-chi who uses magic, combined with addictive sound and cinematography that captures traditional charm, increases the teaser's appeal.
The title track "Shinsunnol-eum" is a boom-bap-based hip-hop song featuring a melodious topline and intense chants that contrast in a dramatic structure, which are key listening points. It is expected fans will be able to fully enjoy Stray Kids' unique energy of "breaking free from the world's constraints and enjoying everything as if in revelry."
The first installment of the album series "SKZ IT TAPE," titled "DO IT," includes a total of five tracks: the double title tracks "Do It" and "Shinsunnol-eum," and the album tracks "Holiday" (Holiday), "Photobook" (Photobook), and "Do It (Festival Version)" (Do It (Festival Version)). The new release expresses in music the hottest and most definite mood they want to show, and the group's producing team 3RACHA—Bang Chan, Changbin and Han—participated in writing all the tracks, imprinting their musical color.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids' SKZ IT TAPE "DO IT" will be officially released on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. (midnight Eastern Time).
