Singer Heize expresses a heart-wrenching longing.
Heize's fifth OST for the KBS2 new Saturday-Sunday drama "Last Summer" (written by Jeon Yu-ri, directed by Min Yeon-hong, produced by Monster Union and Slingshot Studio), titled "It was love," will be released on various online music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 16th.
"It was love" is a pop ballad that captures warm moments of longing and love, a song that sings of a love that lingers in the heart like a dream. Heize conveys a warm aftertaste to listeners by expressing a heart that does not change even as time passes over gently flowing instrumentation.
In particular, lyrics filled with sincerity such as "you are my daydream, always near me / so vivid it feels within reach / makes me miss you more / you are my daylight, the sun of my life / even as time passes you remain / in that place" are expected to capture listeners' attention and resonate with them.
Heize is expected to captivate listeners by maximizing the song's emotion with her distinctive, deeply emotional vocals that blend with the lyrical melody and her delicate expressiveness.
The "Last Summer" OST is executive produced by producer Song Dong-woon, who has been recognized as one of the country's top OST producers. Producer Song Dong-woon has produced hits for dramas including "Hotel Del Luna," "Descendants of the Sun," "It's Okay, That's Love," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and "Our Blues," as well as "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow," "Stay With Me," "Beautiful," and "I Miss You" from the "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" OST.
"Last Summer" is a remodeling romance drama in which a man and woman who have been friends since childhood confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box, and it airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. on KBS2.
Meanwhile, Heize's sung "Last Summer" OST Part.5 "It was love" will be available on various online music platforms starting at 6 p.m. on the 16th.
