Group NewJeans' Min-ji·Hanni·Danielle are undergoing individual meetings with ADOR, while former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin once again emphasized the importance of the "five-member complete unit." However, among internet users there has been a chilly response to Min's second statement, which included a request "do not drag the members in."
On the 15th, lawyer Noh Young-hee held a live broadcast about NewJeans on her personal channel, and during that process a lengthy statement that Min delivered in real time was made public.
Min said, "From the beginning NewJeans was designed on the premise of five. The structure was such that appearance, sound, color, style and movement all meshed together and became complete when five worked in concert," and added, "NewJeans is full when it is five. Now that the kids have returned, these five should be cherished."
She also added, "The essence may be aimed at me, but I would like you not to involve the kids in that process. The kids must be protected and must not be used," warning against unnecessary external interpretations and controversies aimed at the members.
Currently NewJeans shows clear differences in momentum among members in the process of returning. On the 12th ADOR officially announced the return, saying, "Haerin and Hye-in will comply with their exclusive contracts and return." The pair had been steadily exchanging views with the agency for about a week, and their return was achieved through a natural agreement.
But just two hours later, Min-ji·Hanni·Danielle issued a separate statement through legal representatives saying, "We will also return to ADOR," and the situation changed rapidly. The problem was that this statement was a "one-sided notice" that had not been coordinated with the agency in advance. ADOR immediately said it was "ascertaining the true intent and arranging individual meetings" and responded cautiously.
Min-ji·Hanni·Danielle are scheduled for meetings, and whether they will officially return is expected to be clarified after discussions.
