New boy group IDID, born through Starship's mega project 'Debut's Plan', shed tears of emotion as they received their first Rising Star award.
IDID (IDID·Jang Yonghun, Kim Minjae, Park Wonbin, Chu Yuchan, Park Sunghyun, Baek Junhyuk, Jeong Semin) won the IS Rising Star award at the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards with iMBank (2025 KGMA) held at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, on the 15th.
After the award, with trembling hearts, IDID stood before global K-pop fans and said, "We are honored to receive a meaningful award at our first awards ceremony since debut, and we sincerely thank our fans," giving credit to their agency, staff and the awards organizers. They added, "Starting with this award, we will grow more and become IDID that shines endlessly and brilliantly."
IDID performed a special stage with their debut song and first mini album title track "I did it."'s title track "Jamotdaero Chanranhage" (roughly "brilliantly on our own"). They filled the large Inspire Arena stage with fresh energy to express their joy at the award. From a unique intro showing members filming self-videos to a special performance using benches during the stage, IDID's varied skills and charms raised the performance's heat. It was exactly the resolve they had expressed on the red carpet before the ceremony: "We will show an irresistible, amazing stage." After the ceremony, they were moved to tears at their first award since debut.
IDID is a seven-member boy group that Starship, the 'home of artists', introduced for the first time in about five years. As a 'high-end fresh idol' they possess the skills and virtues a perfect idol should have, as well as each member's charm and the team's appeal. They had a pre-debut in July and debuted in the music scene on Sept. 15. The debut album sold 441,524 copies in its first week, and "Jamotdaero Chanranhage" reached No. 1 on music programs 12 days after its release.
Having successfully concluded their debut activities, IDID is set for a super-fast comeback with their first digital single album 'PUSH BACK' on Nov. 20. On the album release day at 7:30 p.m., they will hold a comeback showcase at the outdoor plaza of COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, and continue promotions for the single album.<
