Yunho denied allegations that he nags his juniors.
On the 16th episode of KBS Cool FM's Park Myung-soo's Radio Show, the "Legendary Master" segment was held. On that broadcast, Yunho appeared as a guest and talked about his new song "Stretch(스트레치)".
Park Myung-soo praised Yunho, saying, "Even after 22 years, you can hold your own against most idols," and asked, "I heard you're actually considered a teacher to idols." Yunho replied, "In the case of RIIZE or right before a group debuts, I meet them and they ask for tips and many requests come in. At that time, as a senior, experts look after dance and vocal skills, and I tell them how to perform on stage without losing their own color and how to make it fun," he said.
He later talked about the comeback of his first full-length album, I-KNOW. Yunho said, "I finally returned with my first full-length album after 22 years. Until now I greeted people with mini albums, but I will greet them with a full-length album." Park Myung-soo said, "The album is like a New York newspaper," and Yunho said, "It's my first solo full-length, and because it's coming out after 22 years I honestly and philosophically included what I felt over that time. That's why I called it 'I-KNOW.' I'm 'U-KNOW,' right? I wanted it to be an album that could be a gift to fans, so I was very ambitious," he said.
Park Myung-soo said, "I heard you prepared for it while in the military," and Yunho said, "When you think about yourself performing someday while standing guard in the military, many thoughts come up. I decided that if I get on stage, I should greet people with my own story. We've greeted many people as a group. So there's a 'fake and documentary' concept with a fake version and a documentary version track that pair with each other," and added, "On this album EXO's KAI and (G)I-DLE's Minnie featured on tracks."
Park Myung-soo exclaimed, "I think it'd look great with Kai," and Yunho said, "It's a fake version of a song called 'Waterfalls,' and because it's the fake version both of us compete as vocalists and decided to dance, so we made it. Kai came not knowing much and was surprised by how many parts he had, but he sang it really well," he said.
When asked, "You said you'd like to work with Rain someday, right?", he replied, "He's an older artist I always respect. I think it would be nice to be on stage with Jihoon someday," adding, "There isn't that much age difference and the careers aren't that far apart. But he's a very cool senior. He's sincere about the stage." When asked, "Could there be a Yunho solo stage someday, inviting guests?", he said, "If there's an opportunity I'll put it into practice. If I do it, I'd rather approach it as a show concept than a concert," he hinted.
Park Myung-soo said, "Yunho, you've been debuted for more than 20 years, right? I've been doing this for 33 years. I hear you give a lot of nagging when you meet idols," and asked, "Like 'Hey, come here' kind of thing?" Yunho denied it, saying, "I don't do that. Rather, I greet them and their managers or those in charge ask me to talk once or to share know-how, and I go and tell them," he explained.
He explained, "I usually tell them things they don't often hear. We talk about what's lacking, and what would make it cooler, and we amusingly call that 'Yuno time.'" He also said that when teaching dance he dances himself. Yunho said, "If I don't do that, it becomes like 'in my day'," expressing his conviction.
