Dancer-turned-actor Cha Hyun-seung shared an update saying he has not lost his trademark bright energy even while battling leukemia.
On the 16th, Cha Hyun-seung revealed an "MZ sensibility selfie" he took himself at the hospital on his social media.
In the released photo, Cha Hyun-seung is sitting on a hospital bed at Korea University Hospital, wearing a headset and looking at a laptop screen. His shaved head, patient gown and the tattoo on his arm are all plainly visible.
Along with the photo, Cha Hyun-seung left a heartfelt message saying, "This round of chemotherapy is the hardest, but I'm still holding on. Little by little, slowly, I'll overcome this to the end!"
In a recent Q&A video, he candidly spoke about the confusion he felt at the start of his battle. About the moment he was waiting for the bone marrow test results, he admitted, "I didn't expect it to be good news," and confessed, "At first I felt numb and like I was organizing things, but now, uh?X uh?X I've pulled myself together again."
He went on, "My body is recovering a lot. Mental strength is the most important thing. It's a matter of mindset," and added, "There are so many things I want to do. I want to act in roles and travel. Everyone, take good care of your health," greeting his fans.
Meanwhile, Cha Hyun-seung first became known for his appearance as an eel on Netflix's "Single's Inferno," then transitioned to acting. Since his leukemia diagnosis, he has devoted himself to treatment and has been consistently sharing his battle.
