Singer Lee Hyori delivered a sharp rebuke to artists and junior entertainers who bully others on set.
On the 15th, the 'Hong's MakeuPlay Hongimo' channel uploaded a video titled "Honest and frank review of Just Makeup with Hyori [Episodes 7–10]."
That day Lee Hyori watched and reacted to the Coupang Play makeup survival show "Just Makeup" with makeup artists Hong Hyun-jung and JUNGSAEMMOOL. Because Lee Hyori had also participated as the MC of "Just Makeup," she looked closely at each contestant's makeup and showed sincere reactions.
While watching a makeup that emphasized the eyelashes, Lee Hyori exclaimed, "Even the tears looked like part of the makeup to me," and praised, "This makeup would really come out beautifully if you shot it like for a pictorial."
But she then joked, "If someone like me meets them, at first I'll put up with it and then say 'ah, come on,'" as she pretended to rip off the eyelashes, drawing laughter. When someone beside her helped the skit with reactions like, "Okay go in. Put on the next one. It's filmed. There's a photo," Lee Hyori clarified, "No. No matter how hard it is, if the monitor looks pretty, I endure it. Even if I cry and bleed from my eyes."
She added more laughter by again pretending to throw off the eyelashes while saying, "You cried but the monitor doesn't care? Then now..." She then laughed and explained, "I'm joking."
Lee Hyori said, "There's nothing good that comes from getting testy or showing off on set. The moment the atmosphere turns sour, nothing will benefit me," and expressed her belief: "Artists themselves, junior colleagues — no matter how upset or hurt you are, you should think about how to transform that into laughter and change the situation. Nothing will benefit me by behaving otherwise."
