Actress Son Tae-young warmed hearts with a kind deed even while living in the United States.
Recently, a dog rescue shelter in Daejeon said, "Today the first snow fell in New Jersey. We are infinitely grateful to Son Tae-young for making a meaningful donation to the shelter children on the day the first snow fell like a blessing," it said.
According to the shelter, Son Tae-young supported heater costs and dog food so that the abandoned dogs who would otherwise have to curl up and sleep in cold kennels this winter can stay warm. The shelter also released photos of Son Tae-young's food donation and expressed gratitude, saying, "Warm hearts and beautiful donations keep abandoned dogs alive. We fed them well and heartily today, too."
After winning Miss Korea Daegu in 2000 and placing third in the Miss Korea finals, Son Tae-young debuted in the entertainment industry as the host of the KBS2 variety show 'Ya! Hanbam-e' (Hey! At midnight).
Son Tae-young, who attracted attention when she married actor Kwon Sang Woo in 2008, had a son, Luk-hee, in 2009 and welcomed a daughter, Ri-ho, in 2015.
Son Tae-young currently resides in New Jersey, United States, with her husband Kwon Sang Woo and their children, and shares her daily life through the YouTube channel "Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young." She has about 270,000 subscribers.
