DSP Media's 'Illustration Music Collab with KIKNY' project's seventh story begins.
DSP Media today (15) at noon, through various music platforms, releases the seventh story of the 'Illustration Music Collab with KIKNY' project and the new song 'Damu - Dark Cloud'.
This song was inspired by illustrator KIKNY's seventh story 'Father and Baek-gu' and delicately captures farewell and the lingering feelings of love afterward through the image of a father who lost a longtime companion dog. The father's act of visiting Baek-gu's grave and offering food shows that farewell is not an end but a "continuing love."
'Dark Cloud' is a medium-tempo ballad that depicts a farewell that came like a sudden shower on a sunny day. Emotional piano and restrained strings support Damu's pleading vocals, quietly portraying the sorrow and tenderness of a person living on after a parting.
In particular, the lyrics include "your warmth that spreads again even if I erase it" and "when morning comes after a long darkness," expressing emotions that do not fade with time and hope, which draws empathy from listeners.
Damu participated directly in the lyrics and composition, adding authenticity to the song, and skilled producers such as Pilsungbupae, JS MUSIC, and Jang Seok-won joined to enhance its completeness. This work, which delicately描绘 the layers of emotion, leaves a calm but strong aftertaste for listeners.
