'Workman' Lee Jun said about DinDin being criticized after his controversial remark, I texted that I wanted to die.
On the 14th, the YouTube channel 'Workman' released content titled 'DinDin joins Workman'.
In that content, Lee Jun and DinDin mentioned the backlash after the remark that "celebrities have no concept of currency value." Lee Jun opened by saying, "I've had many part-time jobs and done a lot of really tough work. What feels unfair is that our gym also has a branch manager. I know the monthly pay and I pay it."
Lee Jun confessed, "When I'm on a show I sometimes don't even know what I'm saying. I just throw everything out," and DinDin added, "That's the problem. You should always set your limit, but you let it all loose."
DinDin also related an anecdote after the content was released. DinDin said, "What's funny is that on the day it was released we were filming '2 Days & 1 Night.' Both of us were up for indoor sleeping. But the reaction was better than expected, and he said, 'This will hit 1 million fastest, right?' But I saw the reaction and I liked it a lot, and some people were saying things to Jun hyung."
He continued, "So I asked, 'Are you okay?' and he said, 'As long as the show is fun, that's enough.' So I thought, 'Wow, this guy is a real celebrity. He's cool,'" and "then the next day at home while eating, at around 8 p.m. suddenly he texted, 'I want to die,'" drawing attention. Lee Jun was struggling from bad comments and criticism.
DinDin said, "I felt so bad too. We talked on the phone for an hour that day. I said, 'It's okay. That wasn't something you did wrong, it was a mistake.'"
Lee Jun also said, "What he said was, 'Did you commit a crime? This isn't even a crime, so why are you struggling over it?' So my conclusion was that no matter what comments I receive, I don't think I'll be hurt by them."
Earlier in August, DinDin worked with Lee Jun on 'Workman' as a part-time employee at an inexpensive franchise coffee brand. During the day Lee Jun, while working, asked an employee, "Don't you make a lot now? Don't you make 10 million won a month?"
DinDin was provoked by Lee Jun's remark and drew attention by saying, "This is the problem with celebrities. They have no concept of currency value. Riding supercars and using Jenny's bed makes them lose their minds," delivering a sharp rebuke.
