LE SSERAFIM said it would strengthen legal action in response to a recent sharp increase in malicious comments.
On the 14th, Source Music informed fans via the fan community platform Weverse about the status of legal actions related to rights infringement and mentioned how it is handling malicious comments.
On that day Source Music said, "To protect LE SSERAFIM's rights, we operate our real-time malicious post monitoring system and HYBE artist rights infringement reporting channel. Through this, we confirmed that malicious posts that infringe on artists' rights—such as malicious criticism, defamation, ridicule, and the spread of false information targeting LE SSERAFIM and individual members—have recently increased sharply."
LE SSERAFIM went on to say, "Insults and defamation against artists are criminal acts punishable under the Criminal Act, and we carry out regular and irregular legal responses to such malicious posts." The statement added, "Anonymous posts and comments are no exception, and criminal punishment for those authors is also being carried out continuously."
LE SSERAFIM said, "In particular, acts that damage an artist's reputation by presenting inaccurate facts or rumors as if they were true are clear illegal acts that infringe on an artist's dignity, and we recognize the seriousness of such illegal acts. We are strengthening monitoring and legal response procedures to protect artists."
The agency added, "In accordance with our principle, under no circumstances will we seek settlements or leniency, and we will proceed with criminal procedures so that suspects can be held legally responsible to the end. Detailed information about related legal responses will be provided later."
Finally, the agency said, "We deeply appreciate the support and trust of P'earls who continue to cherish LE SSERAFIM. Source Music will continue to consider and strive tirelessly to protect artists' rights."

Hello.
This is Source Music.
To protect LE SSERAFIM's rights, we operate our real-time malicious post monitoring system and the HYBE artist rights infringement reporting channel. Through this, we confirmed that malicious posts that infringe on artists' rights—such as malicious criticism·defamation·ridicule and the spread of false information—targeting LE SSERAFIM and individual members have recently increased sharply.
Insults and defamation against artists are criminal acts punishable under the Criminal Act, and we carry out regular and irregular legal responses to malicious posts within online communities. Anonymous posts and comments are no exception, and criminal punishment for authors of such malicious posts is also being carried out continuously.
In particular, acts that damage an artist's reputation by presenting inaccurate facts or rumors as if they were true are clear illegal acts that infringe on an artist's dignity, and we recognize the seriousness of such illegal acts. To protect artists, we are strengthening malicious post monitoring and related legal response procedures.
Even after the previous complaint notice, criminal punishment has been imposed on authors of malicious posts, and during investigations we have cooperated with investigative agencies as much as possible to ensure suspects receive appropriate punishment by proving the artists' damages and submitting related evidence. In accordance with our principle, under no circumstances will we seek settlements or leniency, and we will proceed with criminal procedures so that suspects can be held legally responsible to the end. Detailed information about the status of related legal responses will be provided later.
Also, regardless of platform—domestic or overseas portal sites, communities, or social media—malicious posts published online that infringe on artists' rights may all be subject to criminal complaint. In this regard, reports from fans through the HYBE artist rights infringement integrated reporting site have been of great help in protecting artists and enabling legal responses. We sincerely thank P'earls who took the time to send reports. Based on fans' valuable reports, we will continue to carry out stronger legal responses.
We deeply appreciate the support and trust of P'earls who continue to cherish LE SSERAFIM.
Source Music will continue to consider and strive tirelessly to protect artists' rights.<
