The person who spread rumors about actor Lee Yi-kyung deleted another SNS account. This time they claimed to be a victim of threats.
The person, A, who caused controversy by spreading rumors about Lee Yi-kyung wrote on their personal SNS account on the 14th, "I'm being seriously threatened by someone I don't know, so I will delete this account."
In particular, they added, "The person threatening me is not on Lee Yi-kyung's side, so I hope no one makes any strange rumors or anything. I hope everyone stays healthy and doesn't catch a cold or the flu," and deleted the account.
A is the figure who recently attracted attention by exposing Lee Yi-kyung's private life. Claiming to be a German internet user, they released captured screenshots of messenger chat records, saying they had exchanged personal messages with Lee Yi-kyung. The messages contained content that suggested A was having sexual conversations with Lee Yi-kyung, causing shock.
But Lee Yi-kyung's side said, "We are preparing legal measures for damage caused by spreading false information and malicious rumors," calling it baseless. A also intensified the shock by saying the posts had been manipulated by AI, deleting the related posts and reversing their position.
What seemed like a controversy that would end as a happening drew attention again when A reopened an SNS account and left a post saying, "I'm considering releasing verification photos." Moreover, A continued to claim as if the earlier explanation were false, saying, "It's not AI; this is unfair. They've made me the victim of a bad guy."
They even added about Lee Yi-kyung's legal response, "I have never been sued," and "the AI explanation was a lie." Meanwhile, they suddenly deleted their SNS account.
In the meantime, Lee Yi-kyung left the MBC variety show Hangout With Yoo, on which he was appearing. In addition, he decided not to appear on the KBS 2TV variety show The Return of SUPERMAN, where he had been chosen as the new host.
However, the reason for his departure was not a private life controversy but "a busy schedule." In fact, there were even reports that Lee Yi-kyung was seen at the airport on the 12th heading overseas to film a project. Besides that, Lee Yi-kyung is still continuing his regular variety show appearances on I'm SOLO, Brave Detective, and Handsome Guys.
Repeated reversals of position by A and the SNS deletions have caused confusion. Lee Yi-kyung's side says that regardless of A's reversals, they have already completed the complaint procedures and plan to continue legal action.
