NewJeans Haerin·Hye-in followed by Min-ji, Hanni and Danielle all expressed their intention to "return to ADOR," and attention is also focused on the "one-sided announcement" revealed during that process and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin's formalized stance on the split.
On the afternoon of the 12th, ADOR told OSEN, "We are verifying the sincerity of the three members' (Min-ji·Hanni·Danielle) intention to return," expressing a cautious stance. This is because the three members announced their return statement independently without agreement with the agency.
Earlier, Haerin and Hye-in, after consulting with their families and sufficiently discussing with ADOR, expressed their intention to return, and ADOR's official statement was immediately released. The agency said, "We welcome the two members' choice and will actively support their future activities."
However, the other three members said, "After careful consultation we decided to return. Communication was delayed because one member is staying in Antarctica, and because ADOR did not respond, we had no choice but to announce separately." They added, "We will continue to meet you with music and performances made with sincerity," expressing their intention to continue activities as NewJeans.
Although the return declaration by the three members was welcomed, there is a procedural temperature gap. ADOR showed a firm yet cautious response that it is "verifying the sincerity," making it likely that formal procedures will proceed through future consultations.
With the return intentions of all five members confirmed, NewJeans' future moves are likely to gain momentum, but for the three members there remains the official agreement→agency announcement procedure.
On the 13th, former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin also directly delivered a statement amid the members' return movement.
Former CEO Min released a statement that day and said, "The members' decision yesterday to return together must have been a choice made after deep reflection and conversation," adding, "I respect and support that choice." He went on to say, "Although there were difficulties, I treasure the courage of the members who joined hands again to protect each other."
He also said, "I can start anew anywhere. But in any situation I believe NewJeans should be fully preserved as five members. I hope the members become stronger and NewJeans becomes better, and above all I hope all five members are happy."
He added, "Above all, I thank the fans who protected NewJeans even in difficult times. Please warmly welcome the members who overcome difficulties and return. I too will watch NewJeans' music and growth and support them to the end."<
