'Groom School' cast member Cheon Myeong-hoon was recognized as a 'good husband material' by So-wol, the woman with a one-sided crush, thanks to full support from Lee Seung-chul and Lee Da Hae.
On the 12th, Channel A's 'These Days' Men Life - Groom School (hereafter 'Groom School') episode 188 aired a scene in which Cheon Myeong-hoon fulfilled So-wol's wish to meet 'principal' Lee Seung-chul, moving her. It also showed Kim Il-woo and Park Sun-young calling close friends who are like family, Bang Eun-hee and Position Im Jae-wook, to make dumplings together and display sweet chemistry that won their approval. According to Nielsen Korea's tally, the episode recorded a viewership rating of 2.05% (national pay TV households), reflecting strong interest from home viewers.
Cheon Myeong-hoon went with So-wol to meet Lee Seung-chul. So-wol, a 20-year fan of Lee Seung-chul, had expressed the wish, "I really want to meet Teacher Lee Seung-chul once," and finally Cheon Myeong-hoon made that wish come true. Lee Seung-chul warmly welcomed Cheon Myeong-hoon and So-wol, and upon seeing So-wol in person said, "She's so pretty," giving a thumbs-up. So-wol said, "Thank you," and presented alcohol she brought from China as a gift. Lee Seung-chul joked, "Is this like a father-in-law's liquor?" mentioning So-wol's father, who is the Chinese liquor company 'Zhu Zhu,' and Cheon Myeong-hoon nodded and laughed, saying, "Well, you could say that." In the cheerful atmosphere, Lee Seung-chul invited the two to a musical production he is involved in, and they headed straight to the theater.
But So-wol fell for the musical's male lead and exclaimed, "He's so handsome," and, introduced by Lee Seung-chul, met the actor in the waiting room, the male lead Song Won-geun. Song Won-geun, greeting So-wol, revealed, "I'm four years older than So-wol," and So-wol, making heart-eyes, said, "I heard a four-year age gap doesn't even require checking compatibility?" Flustered, Song Won-geun looked to see if it was okay to say such things in front of Cheon Myeong-hoon, asking, "Is it okay to say this in front of Cheon Myeong-hoon?" In response, Cheon Myeong-hoon suddenly mentioned old memories with Ivy, who plays the female lead, pretending to be close to provoke jealousy.
In their chaotic chemistry, the two left the theater and entered a secret space. When they opened the door, Lee Seung-chul and Lee Da Hae appeared, surprising So-wol. Particularly, Lee Da Hae decorated the interior with extravagant balloons and flowers and even prepared the food herself, moving So-wol. While eating Lee Da Hae's home-cooked meal, Lee Seung-chul asked, "Is there anything you thought was good about meeting Cheon Myeong-hoon?" So-wol answered, "He has perseverance as a person," and Lee Da Hae listed questions to check what makes a good husband material, reciting several conditions such as "a man without mood swings" and "a man who sides with his wife over his mother." So-wol acknowledged that Cheon Myeong-hoon met most of them. Then Lee Da Hae asked, "What are the conditions you think a husband should have?" and So-wol candidly replied, "Personality, ability, and a good-looking face." Momentarily at a loss for words, Lee Seung-chul said, "That can be fixed," and Lee Da Hae clapped, saying, "Now everything's solved~."
After their supporters left, So-wol warmly told Cheon Myeong-hoon, "Today was truly the best of the days we've met. Thank you for making my wish come true~." She added, "The 'love percentage' has risen to 15%," giving him a high score. Cheon Myeong-hoon, tearing up, said, "Finally passed 10%. I'm moved."
Next, Kim Il-woo and Park Sun-young's date was revealed. That day, Kim Il-woo rented a single-family house to make dumplings. Soon after, Bang Eun-hee arrived, and Kim Il-woo asked her to prepare the ingredients in advance so he could make the filling before Park Sun-young arrived. He also specially requested, "Since Sun-young doesn't like green onions, let's put only a little." When Bang Eun-hee heard mention of Park Sun-young, she hinted, "She speaks very prettily. You can see she's trying to be good to oppa. She seems more proactive than oppa," showing envy. Then Park Sun-young entered the house with her agency head and close junior, Position Im Jae-wook.
The four naturally exchanged greetings. Kim Il-woo kindly tied an apron for Park Sun-young, who was about to start cooking. Bang Eun-hee said, "I was going to act like an older sister-in-law today, but Sun-young is too pretty for that," expressing envy. Then Kim Il-woo jokingly said, "If Sun-young asked me to lend her money, I think I could lend it," making a 'loan flirting' remark. Park Sun-young immediately shot back, "How much would you lend me?" causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Amid pink-tinged vibes, the four made dumplings in their own styles. At that moment, Im Jae-wook unexpectedly revealed, "Sun-young nuna has become prettier since meeting senior Il-woo. She also looks at the mirror a lot in the car." Everyone cheered at Park Sun-young's remarkable change, and embarrassed, she, while boiling knife-cut dumpling soup, asked Kim Il-woo, "Do you prefer a thick broth or a clear one?" Kim Il-woo gave a perfect answer, "I like everything Sun-young cooks," earning applause from the 'studio mentor group.' Afterwards, the four ate the knife-cut dumpling soup and had candid conversations. Bang Eun-hee said, "I was worried because Sun-young doesn't seem to express herself well, but watching her wipe senior Il-woo's sweat today, I thought, 'What kind of pretence is this? This is real,'" she said. Im Jae-wook also revealed, "When he said earlier, 'Since Sun-young doesn't like green onions, don't add them,' and when she tied the apron for him, I felt grateful to senior Il-woo and reassured," making the couple smile.
