KiTbeter, a kit album platform, joins forces with WIN (Worldwide Independent Network).
MuseLive (CEO Seok Cheol) said that recently its brand KiTbeter and WIN, a global network organization representing independent music and artists worldwide, discussed cooperation measures to develop the global independent music industry.
WIN carries out various activities as the leading organization in the global independent music industry. In particular, it is working to address the global platform dependency risk faced by independent artists and independent labels, build investment and financial support models for them, and resolve unreasonable issues and problems that actually occur within the independent music industry, such as rights and revenue settlement issues during overseas distribution.
The meeting between KiTbeter and WIN held at MuseLive headquarters is significant in that KiTbeter presents an innovative model that addresses the real needs of the global independent music market. In particular, KiTbeter is evaluated as a platform that provides new revenue models and global distribution channels to not only domestic but also global independent artists and labels through the KiTalbum, and since its first release in 2017 it has recorded sales of more than 9 million units and is counted as a physical album on major global music charts such as those in Korea, the U.K. and Germany.
Accordingly, KiTbeter plans to strive for the development of the global music industry through continued communication and cooperation with WIN as a member of WIN's major affiliated associations, including LIAK (Korea Music Label Industry Association) and IMCJ (Japan Independent Music Labels Association), as well as A2IM (American Association of Independent Music) and VUT (German Independent Music Association).
