Kep1er member Xiaoting released a special self photo shoot for fans to celebrate her birthday.
This photo shoot was a work completed with Xiaoting participating directly from conception to directing, and it showcases a classic sensibility reminiscent of the film "In the Mood for Love." The delicate expressions captured under calm tones and soft lighting evoke a cinematic mood, adding a refined sensibility to classical beauty to complete Xiaoting's elegant world.
Beyond a simple birthday commemorative shoot, this project was completed as an artistic attempt in which Xiaoting infused her own narrative. In the cover cuts she expressed timeless elegance through classic hair, a deep red-toned background, and a floral-patterned qipao, completing her own "In the Mood for Love."
In the video released the same day, scenes completed with a cinematic sensibility continued alongside Chinese narration. In the video Xiaoting delivered a heartfelt message, saying, "The brighter the light, the darker the shadow becomes, and behind the stage I constantly work hard to shine more onstage." It concluded with the line, "My brightest moments are made that way," reflecting the growth and sincerity Xiaoting has created for herself.
In the photo shoot interview Xiaoting said, "A new beginning, in fact there have been so many things this year," and added, "I have done a lot of self-reflection, and I feel I am ultimately moving in a good direction." She also said, "I want to be remembered by the public as a confident and brave person," and expressed sincerity, "I am always grateful to the fans who cheer for me during hard times. Your support gives me great strength."
Xiaoting has recently continued active activities across stages and broadcasts. On June she was invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival red carpet, drawing attention with her elegant visuals and presence, and at MBC's 2025 Chuseok special Idol Star Athletics Championships she won the silver medal in the dance sports category, once again proving she is a dancing queen of the Idol Star Athletics Championships.
Especially, in Mnet Plus original survival show "PLANET C : HOME RACE(Planet C : Home Race)," scheduled to premiere in December, she was selected as a master and is expected to present professional stage analysis and mentoring following "BOYS 2 PLANET C."
Meanwhile, Kep1er, of which Xiaoting is a member, started their global concert tour "2025 Kep1er CONCERT TOUR [Into The Orbit: Kep1asia]" in Seoul, successfully completed performances in Fukuoka and Tokyo, Japan, and will continue the tour to Hong Kong, Kyoto and Taiwan in December.
