Singers Kim Seon-jun, Jeong Ho, Jin-ung and Choi Dae-seong, among other young trot stars, gathered in one place and set Hongdae ablaze.
On the 7th, at Space Brick in Hongdae, Seoul, the joint performance Friday Trot Concert featuring Kim Seon-jun, Jeong Ho, Jin-ung and Choi Dae-seong was held successfully.
Friday Trot Concert is a planned show in which young trot artists heat up Hongdae's Friday nights. It was variously structured, from individual stages that showcased four distinct personalities and charms to special unit stages and full-group stages featuring all four performers together.
They reinterpreted their own hit songs as well as nostalgic classics that span generations in their own styles, offering the audience both nostalgia and fresh entertainment at the same time. Throughout the performance, intensely moving stages alternated between tears and laughter, and a talk segment for direct communication with the audience was provided in the middle, adding to the excitement at the venue.
After the roughly 120-minute performance, a fan signing and photo session were held as special segments. In a new cultural space that is rarely seen at trot concerts, performance and fan service harmonized, leaving new possibilities and meanings for trot concerts.
YYY Company, which planned this performance, said, "Trot singers with diverse colors maximized their individual charms and generated synergy on a single stage. Combined with the scale and detail of the stage production, it presented a new standard for trot performances."
They added, "We wanted to incorporate fan services familiar from idol culture, such as fan signings and photo sessions, into the trot fandom to provide an even broader range of entertainment. Going forward, we will continue to expand the popular base of trot with fresh planning and stages together with young trot artists."
