After announcer Kim Jae-won, announcer Park Cheol-gyu, the new face of Morning Yard, announced news of his second child.
On the 12th broadcast of KBS 1TV Morning Yard, in the "Challenge! Dream Stage" segment, announcer Park Cheol-gyu appeared grants and was shown singing.
That day announcer Park Cheol-gyu said, I liked singing since I was young and wanted to stand on stage. So when I worked as a freelance announcer I tried out for a trot audition program on a certain broadcaster, but was edited out. On TV only my "wow" and "oh" parts came out.
Park Cheol-gyu said, I took the KBS exam three times, and after seven attempts at terrestrial broadcasters I finally became a KBS announcer. My family and relatives in Busan went crazy. They asked, How many times do you have to play it to see you? but the programs I host didn't exist so I didn't appear, he said, expressing his long-standing bitterness.
He added that things changed after becoming a regular on Morning Yard, saying, This year has been a very special year. In August something I never imagined happened. I became an Morning Yard MC. Relatives no longer ask. Rather, I keep getting messages that I made my parents look very good, so they feel proud, he explained.
Also, announcer Park Cheol-gyu delivered the surprise news that there was double good news, saying, At the same time I took on the Morning Yard MC role, a precious life came to my wife and me. I will become a father in Feb., and received many congratulations on site.
Meanwhile, Park Cheol-gyu has appeared in a variety of programs across news, entertainment and culture since joining KBS as part of its 50th recruiting class of announcers in 2023.<
