Actress Go Won-hee brought dimensionality to the character with a crisp performance.
On the Oct. 10 and 11 broadcasts, in the TV CHOSUN Monday-Tuesday miniseries "Because there is no next life," she stood out playing Song Ye-na, a junior of Jo Na-jung (Kim Hee-seon) and a show host. That day, Song Ye-na (played by Go Won-hee) showed sensitivity along with complaints about the project planning.
Amid this, when her superior Seo Kyung-sun (played by Kim Young-ah) appeared, Song Ye-na quickly shifted her posture. Above all, she confidently said she had recruited the interview subject herself, but when Seo Kyung-sun told her to prepare without fail, she became intimidated, drawing attention.
Also, an existential crisis came to Song Ye-na. The interviewee she had recruited suddenly notified them of nonattendance. But Song Ye-na soon found her former senior Jo Na-jung and, explaining the purpose of the event, asked for help, and when the problem was resolved she breathed a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, when Jo Na-jung appeared at the show host reemployment interview, Song Ye-na was startled. Moreover, Song Ye-na unnerved Jo Na-jung by mentioning competitors, and the tension increased when executive director Seo Kyung-sun was revealed to be an interviewer.
In this way, Go Won-hee vividly realized the traits of the irritable, sharp character Song Ye-na, amplifying the drama's entertainment. In particular, in the scene at the interview where she met Jo Na-jung, she expressed an indifferent side toward the other person with a deadpan expression and a dry tone.
Thus, Go Won-hee captured attention from her first appearance and showed stable acting skills. Her portrayal, which naturally blended into the drama and conveyed the character's changing psyche according to circumstances, gave realism to the developments.
Meanwhile, "Because there is no next life," in which Go Won-hee appears, airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m.
