Sung Yuri, a former member of the group Fin.K.L who paused activities amid her husband's controversy and later returned, mentioned her twin daughters on a broadcast. Because she has hardly exposed her private life such as marriage and children, even a single remark from Sung Yuri is drawing great interest.
On the afternoon of the 11th, Sung Yuri attracted attention by commenting on the appearance of her twin daughters on the cable channel tvN's 'Ggeutkkaji Ganda.'
That day, Sung Yuri visited Incheon Yeonan Pier with Han Sang-jin and guest singer Lee Jung. They discussed vascular diseases and received advice from a specialist about foods that are good for reducing inflammation.
While listening to the specialist explain the difference between miyeokgwi (wakame stems) and miyeok (seaweed), which are considered foods good for reducing inflammation, Sung Yuri said, "My children are twin daughters, and although they're twins they look very different. Is it that twins can feel different?" She was trying to help the explanation by comparing the difference between miyeokgwi and miyeok to her twin daughters.
The specialist added, "You used twins as an example, but just as siblings who look similar can have different lives depending on where they grew up and how they were raised, the same applies."
Sung Yuri married professional golfer Ahn Seong-hyun in May 2017 and gave birth to twin daughters five years later. After a long wait to have the two daughters, she focused on childcare after pregnancy and childbirth.
Meanwhile, when her husband Ahn Seong-hyun became embroiled in a case involving illegal listing fees for virtual currency, controversy arose and Sung Yuri also suspended activities. Ahn Seong-hyun was released on bail in June, and Sung Yuri announced her return through home shopping. She later appeared as an MC on 'Ggeutkkaji Ganda,' marking her full return to the public stage.
Since her return, Sung Yuri has been speaking more freely about her private life, including pregnancy and childbirth, than before, drawing attention. Not only about her twin daughters, but on the April 4 broadcast she also spoke frankly on the topic of dieting, saying, "It's a lifelong homework. I gained up to 80kg during pregnancy. What's unfair is that even when I ate nothing, I would gain 1kg a day."
Sung Yuri added behind-the-scenes, "I thought I would lose weight by just staying still after giving birth, but that was not the case at all. In the end I had to work on it through exercise and diet." Known for candid remarks about pregnancy and childbirth, Sung Yuri is receiving great interest as she also spoke directly about her children.
