The group VVUP is set to cement its presence as a "global rookie" by releasing its first mini album.
VVUP (Kim, Paen, Suyeon, Jiyun) today (12th) at 12 a.m. released the first content of "VVON" on its official social media and announced the release of its first mini album.
The released image shows the four members revealing their personalities in different colors within a mysterious, dreamlike, surreal space universe. VVUP foreshadowed that they will craft original storytelling with their distinctive fantasy concept, raising expectations for the comeback to a peak.
The title "VVON" of the first mini album, born from the combination of the three words "VIVID," "VISION" and "ON," means "the moment the light turns on vividly." At the same time, taking inspiration from its pronunciation being similar to "Born" and its spelling resembling "Won," VVUP plans through "VVON" to depict a narrative of being born, awakening and overcoming.
Ahead of the mini album release, VVUP pre-released the track "House Party," announcing a successful rebranding across music, performance and visuals. VVUP received enthusiastic responses from global listeners by trendily reinterpretating Korean elements such as dokkaebi and the tiger.
Immediately after its release, "House Party" ranked high on many global iTunes K-pop charts in countries including Russia, New Zealand, Chile, Indonesia, France, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Japan, and its stylish music video quickly surpassed 10 million views, proving VVUP's steep rise at home and abroad; attention is focused on the records they will newly set with "VVON."
Meanwhile, VVUP's first mini album "VVON" will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 20th.
