A YouTuber in his 40s with 680,000 subscribers, identified as Mr. A, was reported to the police on assault charges.
On the 11th, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station said it received a report that the YouTuber in his 40s, Mr. A, assaulted a patron sitting at an adjacent table in a restaurant and has launched a pre-charge investigation (internal inquiry).
Mr. A is suspected of assaulting the patron, including pulling the patron's hat, while arguing with the patron at a neighboring table at a restaurant in Nonhyeon-dong at about 12:10 a.m. on the 8th. In particular, Mr. A is reported to already have a prior conviction for assault.
The police plan to verify whether an actual assault occurred based on witness statements and CCTV footage.
