Group NewJeans members Haerin and Hye-in are returning to ADOR.
ADOR said on the 12th, "NewJeans members Haerin and Hye-in have expressed their intention to continue activities with ADOR."
The agency explained, "After careful consideration with their families and sufficient discussion with ADOR, the two members decided to respect the court's ruling and comply with the exclusive contract."
It added, "ADOR will do its best to ensure Haerin and Hye-in can continue their entertainment activities smoothly," and "We ask fans for their warm support and politely request that speculation about the members be restrained."
Meanwhile, last November they held a press conference declaring contract termination, saying ADOR violated its exclusive contract obligations, and afterward they effectively suspended activities after only completing scheduled events. The five members later announced independent plans under the new team name "NJZ," but the court accepted ADOR's injunction request and put the brakes on that.
Last month, the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 41 (Presiding Judge Jeong Hoe-il) ruled in favor of the plaintiff in ADOR's lawsuit seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract against the five members of NewJeans.
The following is the agency's full statement.
