'You Quiz on the Block' comedian Park Mi-sun candidly spoke about her difficult chemotherapy treatment process.
On the afternoon of the 12th, Park Mi-sun, who returned in good health after a 10-month hiatus, appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block'.
Park Mi-sun said her illness was discovered thanks to a comprehensive checkup. Park Mi-sun explained the situation at the time, saying, "The treatment period was long, and it was found during a comprehensive checkup," and, "When I had a breast ultrasound in February they said it was fine, but in December I almost didn't have it done, and during a comprehensive checkup I had, breast cancer was found."
She also candidly described the difficult chemotherapy process that followed the diagnosis. Park Mi-sun said the side effects of chemotherapy "completely took away my voice. My peripheral nerves were paralyzed so I lost sensation," which shocked viewers.
She also detailed the pain of 12 rounds of chemotherapy, saying, "I broke out in hives and herpes appeared so much that my whole body became ragged, and I lost my appetite."
After a long and painful battle, Park Mi-sun said she developed a detached attitude toward cancer. Park Mi-sun calmly acknowledged, "I have a breast cancer that has no complete cure," and added, "I just accept it, and if it comes back I can be treated. I live with that mindset," showing a strong will to live with the disease.
