Singer HyunA collapsed on stage during a performance, sparking health concerns, and the situation has been made more distressing by continued malicious, mocking comments. HyunA, who even apologized to fans after fainting during the show, has been hurt again by baseless attacks.
On the 9th, HyunA performed "Bubble Pop!" on the stage of "Waterbomb 2025 Macau" held at the Macau outdoor performance venue. HyunA suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed during a wave and turn as the "Bubble Pop" performance was ending.
The dancers who shared the stage were startled and hurried to the fainted HyunA, and they waited for security while covering HyunA, who was wearing short clothing. A security guard rushed onto the stage, carried HyunA off, and the stage ended. Fans who attended the performance filmed HyunA and the footage spread on online communities and social media, drawing significant attention.
After regaining consciousness, HyunA posted on her social media, "I'm really, really sorry.. It had been a short time since the previous performance but I wanted to show a good side; it feels like I wasn't professional, and honestly I don't remember anything, so I kept thinking about it and wanted to be sure to tell you," offering an apology and explaining her position.
HyunA added, "Many fans in Macau came, and of course the Uighai (Uyai?) and everyone paid to see the performance, so I'm sorry, truly sorry," and said, "I'll work on building my stamina more and keep working hard consistently. It would be great if everything went my way, but I'll try." She also reassured fans about her condition, saying, "I'm really okay. Don't worry about me!"
Despite HyunA's apology, some netizens have left malicious comments and crossed the line. On some online communities, speculation surfaced that HyunA's fainting was "staged," and there were mocking responses about the security guard who handled the situation calmly, saying he "struggled to lift HyunA," adding to the sadness.
After marrying, HyunA reflected on her changed appearance to the extent that "pregnancy rumors" arose and announced a diet, later showing a changed appearance after losing 10kg. After fainting on stage, there were suggestions that it could have been caused by excessive dieting.
Attention has also returned to the fact that HyunA previously stopped activities because of "neurocardiogenic syncope." HyunA was diagnosed with neurocardiogenic syncope in 2020 and temporarily suspended activities. This condition causes a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate due to stress, fatigue, extreme weight loss, dehydration, and other factors, reducing blood flow to the brain and causing brief loss of consciousness. Tension, overwork, or rapid weight changes are known major triggers.
At the time, HyunA confessed, "I wanted to perform well and have a pretty body, but I would collapse on stage. I fainted 12 times in a month."
