The group Ahop (AHOF) set a personal best with their new album.
The group's second mini album, The Passage, released on Nov. 4 by Ahop (AHOF·Steven, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Woong-gi, Jang Shuai Bo, Park Han, J.L., Park Joo-won, Zueon, Daisuke), sold 389,904 copies in its first week (initial sales, tracking period Nov. 4–10), according to Hanteo Chart.
Earlier, the album surpassed 368,000 copies sold on its fourth day. Having already exceeded the debut release's record with three days left in the initial sales tracking, attention focused on the final sales total.
As a result, Ahop set a new initial sales record with The Passage, about 30,000 copies more than their previous release. Ahop, which rose as a "monster rookie" with standout activity upon debut, demonstrated growth in ability and increased global fan interest in four months.
The strong response to Ahop is evident across various indicators beyond album sales. The new song Finochio hates lies ranked No. 1 on Bugs' real-time chart immediately after release and No. 79 on Melon HOT100, securing positions on major domestic music charts, and it has shown global presence by charting on Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music.
The music video is also maintaining hot popularity. The title track's music video surpassed 30 million views five days after release, making it the fastest among 2025 debut boy groups to reach that mark.
They are now beginning to gain buzz for solid live skills and stage presence. Riding the momentum, they plan to spark a rush of new K-pop fans with diverse attractions alongside their comeback activities. Expectations have grown for how far Ahop's growth through The Passage and Finochio hates lies will continue.
Mini album 2, The Passage, is an album about Ahop standing on the boundary between boy and man. It depicts the narrative of a "rough youth" finding their true self through growing pains such as shaking and anxiety. Finochio hates lies is a song that expresses, in Ahop's own sensibility, the desire to be honest only with "you" amid whimsy, anxiety and wavering.
Meanwhile, Ahop will appear on SBS funE's The Show, airing on the afternoon of the 11th, to perform their new song.
