Singer HyunA collapsed on stage again, raising concerns, and her current condition has been reported. Her agency said she is resting and stabilizing, which eased fans' worries.
HyunA performed songs including "Bubble Pop" at the Waterbomb 2025 Macau outdoor performance venue on the 9th.
According to videos filmed by fans during the concert, HyunA lost strength and collapsed while performing "Bubble Pop." A moment was captured in which she collapsed lifelessly while doing a wave and turning around, and dancers hurriedly checked her condition. Security then came in, carried HyunA, and escorted her off, prompting concern.
HyunA had recently been on a diet. She said she had moved from the high 50 kilograms into the 40s and is reported to have lost about 10 kilograms in a month. Whether the collapse was a sequela of such extreme dieting, HyunA collapsed on stage and said she does not remember the incident.
Concerns grew especially because HyunA had confessed to a vasovagal syncope in August 2020. Vasovagal syncope is a condition in which blood pressure and heart rate drop sharply due to stress, fatigue, extreme weight loss, dehydration, or other factors, reducing blood flow to the brain and causing a brief loss of consciousness. At the time, HyunA's planned new release was canceled and she suspended activities.
Although HyunA collapsed on stage again and caused concern, fortunately there was no serious problem with her health. HyunA said, "I'm really, really sorry. It had only been a short time since the previous performance, but I wanted to show a good side. I feel like I wasn't professional, and the truth is I don't remember anything, so I've been thinking about it and wanted to tell you. Everyone paid to see the performance, so I'm sorry, and I'm truly sorry."
HyunA added, "From now on I'll build up more stamina and keep working hard. It would be great if everything went my way, but I'll try. I want to say thank you for cherishing, revering, and loving me, who has been lacking from very young until now," expressing self-blame that made fans even more moved.
While HyunA personally updated fans on her condition, her agency also spoke out. Her agency, At Area, said, "(HyunA) is stabilizing after sufficient rest," reassuring fans.
