Below is actor Seo Hyun-woo's Q&A on the finale of Ms. Incognito
Q. Lee Don in Ms. Incognito received a great deal of love. Were you expecting that?
A. From when the work was released, I expected that not only Lee Don but various characters would each look attractive. From the first time I read the script I thought it was a work in which the characters shine, and I rather spent time worrying more about Lee Don's exact position within that feast.
Q. What lovable points or favorite traits of Lee Don did you feel while acting?
A. I thought Lee Don, who is from Muchang, would have speech, intonation, and behaviors he developed later while serving a wealthy Seoul family chairman. The gestures I set to look refined and intellectual ended up being expressed as a prim and haughty feeling, and I especially liked that aspect.
Q. The detail of pushing up his glasses also became a topic. Are there other settings you made up yourself that aren't widely known?
A. The act of pushing up his glasses was a psychological gesture for Lee Don. It was also a device to control emotions for a purpose. In addition, I set things like him always holding his back straight, and emphasizing his left hand wearing an expensive watch, with a nervous flicking motion as if brushing the other person away.
Q. What 고민 do you have to avoid overlapping characters across various works? And what 고민 and attempts did you make for the character Lee Don?
A. I always research changes in external makeup and costume details. I think new outfits and styles give the performer a different feeling from previous works, and from that texture new gait, posture, speech, and facial expressions can be found. Lee Don really roams around here and there. I thought it would be interesting if his speech and attitude changed slightly depending on the relationships he meets, such as the chairman and his wife, the Ga Seong group, and the people of Muchang village.
Q. A word to viewers who loved Ms. Incognito and Lee Don.
A. The writer's words came to life when they met the actors, and until they were completed by the director's design there was hidden effort by countless staff. Thanks to the love and interest of many people, that hard work seems to shine and be talked about even more. I sincerely thank everyone who loved Ms. Incognito, and what I can repay is to greet you again with an entertaining work. I will continue to show good sides. Always be healthy!
