'The Midas touch of the dining industry' CEO Roh Hee-young and 'black-and-white chef winner' Chef Kwon Seong-jun have been abruptly added as judges with 'unbeatable credentials' to MBN's K-bakery survival show 'Cheonhajeppang.'
MBN's 'Cheonhajeppang,' which will air in Feb. 2026, is the country's first 'K-bakery survival' contest to select the world's best baker, set to drive the craze for 'K-bread' that has become a trend beyond mere food. From masters gathered from Paldo Co., world-class pâtissiers and unconventional recipe bakers, 72 pastry chefs from around the world will set aside ranks and compete in a large-scale global pastry and baking competition that will spread the power of 'K-bread' to surprise the world in the first half of 2026.
With the reveal of the second lineup of judges for 'Cheonhajeppang,' made up of 'gourmet trend leaders' Roh Hee-young and Kwon Seong-jun, intense interest has been focused on the show. First, Roh Hee-young, known as 'the Midas touch of the dining industry,' successfully launched well-known brands such as the dumpling brand that conquered the world 'Bibigo,' Olive Young, VIPS, CGV, Galleria Department Store luxury hall and WEST food hall, and 'All the Mornings in the World,' earning the nickname 'brand magician.' Roh Hee-young, CEO of the food research institute who recently pioneered hot places with a popup store in collaboration with 'Jeju Yoajeong,' will bring 'sharp analysis' and 'distinctive branding points' based on her experience launching numerous brands on 'Cheonhajeppang,' offering viewers diverse information and novel entertainment.
'Black-and-white chef winner' Chef Kwon Seong-jun, known as 'Napoli Mafioso,' is the catalyst behind the surge of 'K-food.' Beyond excellent culinary skills, after winning a cooking survival show, reservations at his restaurants have been fully booked and even products he directly collaborated on have become hits, cementing his position as a 'top K-food chef.' On 'Cheonhajeppang,' Kwon Seong-jun will boost contestants' morale with the 'bold candid comments' and 'highly relatable reactions' that only a survival winner can deliver.
MBN's 'Cheonhajeppang' brings together judges with a 'broad spectrum' who consider creativity, perfection and product branding in a 'one-of-a-kind K-bread war' where ranks are set aside, enhancing the program's expertise. The production team said, We are deeply grateful to CEO Roh Hee-young and Chef Kwon Seong-jun for readily agreeing to appear, and We are confident that 'Cheonhajeppang' will lead a 'K-bakery' craze that will sweep the world following 'K-food.'
Meanwhile, 'Cheonhajeppang' has drawn attention for the joint investment and partnership between a dream production team with know-how in survival and food variety production and K-Bakery Global, which leads the global K-bakery industry. It is scheduled to air in Feb. 2026.
