NEWBEAT had a successful comeback first week accompanied by meaningful milestones.
The group NEWBEAT (NEWBEAT, Park Min-seok·Hong Min-seong·Jeon Yeo-yeojeong·Choi Seo-hyun·Kim Tae-yang·Jo Yun-hoo·Kim Ri-woo) released their mini album 1st EP "LOUDER THAN EVER" on the 6th through various online music sites, and they wrapped up their comeback first-week activities successfully by dominating major overseas charts and communities.
During their comeback first week, NEWBEAT appeared consecutively on major music shows such as SBS funE "The Show", MBC M, MBC every1 "Show! Champion", MUSIC BANK, and SBS "Inkigayo", carrying out active promotions. In particular, through the comeback stage for one of the double title tracks, "Look So Good", they showcased NEWBEAT's unique charm with a variety of outfits ranging from all-black suits to dangerously sexy looks.
This album pursued a more worldwide direction and filled all tracks with English lyrics. A star-studded roster of overseas producers participated to enhance its quality, including Neil Ormandy, who collaborated with aespa and a Billboard top-10 artist, and Candice Sosa, who worked on BTS albums. NEWBEAT promoted "Look So Good" and "LOUD" as double title tracks, and the album, which also includes "Unbelievable" and "Natural", consists of four songs in total and shows an expanded musical spectrum.
NEWBEAT's global strategy yielded clear results from immediately after the comeback. Along with the mini album release, they ranked No. 2 on the overall real-time trends of X (formerly Twitter) in the U.S., topped trending lists in major cities such as New York, LA and Boston, and placed No. 28 on the overall chart and No. 22 on the pop chart on the U.S. music platform Genius. The title track "Look So Good" proved its global appeal by ranking No. 7 on YouTube's daily music video popularity chart in Korea and No. 12 on YouTube Shorts popular songs.
Fan response to NEWBEAT continued not only in the U.S. but also in China. Keywords related to NEWBEAT entered the top ranks of real-time searches on Chinese Weibo. Amid this global popularity, NEWBEAT celebrated the double honor of signing a management contract with Modern Sky, China's largest original music corporation. Through cooperation with Modern Sky, one of China's largest corporations, NEWBEAT plans to release an official album in China and engage in activities across various fields.
NEWBEAT also filled their comeback first week meaningfully through direct communication with fans. On the 8th, they met fans directly by holding a one-day café event commemorating the mini album release at a café in Hongdae, Mapo District, Seoul. With notable achievements from the first week of their comeback and active movements, attention is focused on NEWBEAT's future activities.
