Group Newbeat successfully concluded a one-day cafe event to celebrate their comeback.
Newbeat held a special event to meet fans on Aug. 8 at a cafe in Hongdae, Mapo District, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their first mini album "LOUDER THAN EVER."
The cafe event, which began early in the morning, was filled with excitement all day. The members personally handed out flyers for the event to passersby on the street near the cafe while promoting the cafe and the album.
In the afternoon they began full cafe operations and welcomed fans. The members actively communicated by handling orders and making drinks themselves. Later, the members returned to the street to express thanks to fans and passersby, keeping the on-site atmosphere cheerful until the end.
Various events were also held. Choi Seohyun, who was in charge of the counter, played rock-paper-scissors with fans, and Kim Riu handled greeting and seeing off customers, creating a warm atmosphere. Park Minseok and Hong Minseong actively communicated with fans by handling orders and making drinks themselves. Jeon Yeoyeojung handed out paper cups and straw picks for merchandise one by one with careful attention, and Kim Taeyang handled SNS event verification and distributed steamed buns, making the scene even more lively.
The Newbeat cafe event that day was packed with fans and passersby. At certain times there were long lines waiting to enter, and positive reviews and verification posts about the event flooded SNS.
Newbeat said, "We were really happy to be able to see fans' faces and talk with them directly," noting, "We wanted to convey our music and sincerity in a way different from what we show on stage. We sincerely thank everyone for the great love and interest shown for our first comeback, and we will repay you with Newbeat's unique energy and sincerity going forward."
Meanwhile, Newbeat's "LOUDER THAN EVER" ranked No. 2 on the U.S. X (formerly Twitter) real-time trends immediately after its release, No. 28 on the overall genre chart and No. 22 on the pop genre chart on the U.S. music platform Genius, and placed high on China's Weibo real-time search. Newbeat will continue active promotions with the album's double title tracks "Look So Good" and "LOUD."
