'Heart Signal season 4' Kim Ji-young surprised fans by revealing she is in a relationship.
Kim Ji-young posted a video titled "Autumn spent with the people I love (relationship disclosure)" on her YouTube channel on the 8th.
In the video, Kim Ji-young showed herself holding hands with a man and taking a walk. Kim Ji-young said, "I have some good news. There is someone who walks in step with me. I introduce someone I take night walks with."
He said, "Many people asked if there was someone I was seeing, and each time I said I would talk about it if there was someone I was sure about. Actually, many people may have already noticed, but today I ran here to keep that promise," he explained.
Kim Ji-young's boyfriend is an older non-celebrity who she described as "a kind and steady person. He is far from this line of work, so it may take some time for him to adapt."
The two, who said they first met at an event, got to know each other through Lee Joo-mi's introduction. Recalling that time, Kim Ji-young's boyfriend said, "That day our directions were the same, so we took a taxi together and I suggested going for a second round. But after that, Ji-young avoided me. She must have thought I was that bad," and Kim Ji-young added, "After that I really ran away hard. That day oppa suddenly floored it and went straight at me."
Kim Ji-young's boyfriend explained that he courted her several times, saying, "I contacted her often. I didn't realize she didn't get that tired. I was shocked when I saw how many times I was turned down until the second meeting."
Kim Ji-young asked, "Didn't that bruise your pride?" and her boyfriend replied, "I think I don't really have much pride," adding, "I tend to feel less stress from rejection than others."
The two said they became close quickly after that, noting, "When we dated we walked 10,000 steps at a time. After meeting oppa my calves got thicker. I'm much healthier."
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-young gained recognition by appearing on the 2023 Channel A reality dating show "Heart Signal season 4," and she is currently active as an influencer through her personal YouTube channel.
