YouTuber Park Wi revealed an overwhelming moment of embracing his loved one for the first time in 11 years since living in a wheelchair.
On the 9th, Park Wi posted a photo on his social media saying, "Being able to hold the person I love is a blessing. Since living in a wheelchair, it had become a dream for me."
In the released photo, Park Wi is hanging from a pull-up bar and embracing his wife Song Ji-eun. Behind his bright smile was the earnest feeling he had kept for a long time. He added, "I achieved that small dream after 11 years. While hanging from the pull-up bar, I looked at Ji-eun and held her for a moment. I hope for the day I can stand on my own two feet and hold her," sharing his sincere reflections.
Song Ji-eun left a loving comment saying, "I plan to be oppa's shadow forever."
Netizens sent messages of support such as, "This is really touching," "We support this love," and "Your smiles are so warm."
Earlier, Park Wi, who was diagnosed with total paralysis after an unexpected accident in 2014, did not give up and has steadily devoted himself to rehabilitation. He shared the process on YouTube, giving hope and courage to many people.
This is not the first time for Park Wi's "challenge to stand on two feet." In August, he also stood up with the help of rehabilitation equipment and revealed a scene of being embraced by Song Ji-eun, which moved many people. When Park Wi finally stood up after heading to the rehabilitation room, Song Ji-eun smiled brightly and, with tearful eyes, said, "Oppa looks like the person who used to stand. It's not awkward at all."
Unable to hide her joy, Song Ji-eun hugged her husband playfully, and Park Wi looked at his wife warmly and said, "You're lovely." He then added, "Let's really get up soon. I want to do small things together. Holding hands and walking. I shouldn't say more. I will really stand up," revealing his overwhelming emotions.
Meanwhile, Park Wi and Song Ji-eun recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
