Actors Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Sun-bin said their relationship has continued unchanged for eight years.
On the 7th episode of SBS variety show "My manager who is too prickly–the secretaries," Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu closely cared for actors Lee Kwang-soo and Doh Kyung Soo's day and showed a delightful chemistry.
That day Lee Seo-jin, upon seeing Lee Kwang-soo, greeted him saying, "I saw your girlfriend at the hair salon." He was referring to the publicly dating couple Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Sun-bin. Lee Kwang-soo, with an embarrassed smile, said, "It's already been eight to nine years. We're doing well," and shared an update on his relationship.
In his characteristic blunt manner, Lee Seo-jin threw a direct remark, "If it's over two years, they either get married or break up," and Kim Kwang-kyu immediately retorted, "Seo-jin wouldn't even make it a year." Then Lee Seo-jin said, "I have passed one year before. But never two years. If it goes over two years, you should get married," sharing his cool "dating philosophy."
Then Lee Seo-jin asked again, "You've been dating for a long time. Will you get married or break up?" and Lee Kwang-soo answered firmly, "Why do you keep asking that. We're not breaking up." But Lee Seo-jin did not stop and ramped up, saying, "Do as you please. What's wrong with breaking up? You can just meet someone else," and the place erupted in laughter.
Kim Kwang-kyu, who was next to them, defended Lee Kwang-soo, saying, "That guy has broken up with everyone," and Lee Seo-jin coolly admitted, "That's why I'm alone," provoking peals of laughter.
That day Doh Kyung Soo boasted of their close friendship, saying, "I've never once fought with Kwang-soo hyung in 10 years." In response, Lee Seo-jin added to the laughter with an offhand comment, "I felt sorry for Kim Kwang-kyu so I got close to him." Kim Kwang-kyu replied, "One side has to endure. I started to endure," and when Lee Seo-jin asked, "Are you badmouthing Kwang-soo?" he shot back, "No, I'm badmouthing you," eliciting laughter throughout the studio.
"The secretaries" is a real road-show style variety show that accompanies a star's day like a manager to draw out their inner thoughts, and the prickly but human charm of Lee Seo-jin has been a topic each episode.
