Band member Kim Seung-yun of creespy is opening the first page of his solo project by releasing his first single under the name Yuu (Yu).
Kim Seung-yun, as creespy's vocalist, has been loved for his distinctive tone and sensibility. The first single he is presenting as Yuu today (the 8th) at 6 p.m., "Love Me (Like I Love You)," is a starting point that expands his musical spectrum.
If creespy has solidified its musical identity with its signature cinematic songwriting based on easy-listening sound, Yuu aims to show another identity unique to Kim Seung-yun with a more sensuous and candid sound centered on pop and R&B.
Yuu's solo first single, "Love Me (Like I Love You)," is a song that demonstrates his all-arounder capabilities, with Yuu participating directly in the lyrics, composition, as well as arrangement and performance. In particular, the sophisticated rhythms and alluring vocal tone blend exquisitely with the soft groove characteristic of R&B.
"Love Me (Like I Love You)" captures the ironic contradiction of emotions that arise when the words I love you are exchanged so easily that you begin to doubt their sincerity. The chorus, which repeats "I love you," may sound like a simple confession, but it carries an emptiness that conveys Yuu's deep sensibility.
Through this solo project, Yuu said he wanted "to capture my own emotional line and rhythm, different from creespy's music," and noted the song is "sincere but expresses the insecure feelings of love as they are."

Yuu debuted in 2021 as part of the band creespy and drew attention for the band's distinctive cinematic songwriting and stylish visualizers. Creespy was selected as a top six act in the rookie discovery project "2025 Penta Super Rookie" at the 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, proving solid musicality and potential. Yuu attempts his first solo project four years after debut, expanding his musical spectrum another step.
