Jung Seung-hwan shared the production team's reaction as he shines as the top comeback figure on "The Ballad of Us."
On the 8th, a new video titled "Discharge report is an excuse" was released on the YouTube channel "TteunTteun." The guests this time were Monsta X's Juheon, who recently was discharged, singer Woods (Cho Seung-yeon), and Jung Seung-hwan, who appeared and talked with Yoo Jae-seok and Joo Woo-jae.
On the day, Jung Seung-hwan mentioned his pre-discharge worries, saying, "If I go back and sing again, will I be loved? I had many worries. Moreover, these days I think people don't listen to ballad music."
Joo Woo-jae confessed, "I really like ballads. So it pains me to see ballads gradually decline. So when someone isn't close, they usually don't reach out when I release a song. I watched the (Jung Seung-hwan new song) music video and contacted him saying 'it's so precious.'"
Woods said, "These days there are ballad survival shows. It might be somewhat welcome," and Jung Seung-hwan introduced, "Yes. There, 'The Ballad of Us,' very young kids, teenage friends sing music from the '80s and '90s on that program."
Joo Woo-jae said, "You were in that position. You participated in the audition 'K-pop Star' as a teenager and sang," and Jung Seung-hwan said, "It's the same production team. So whenever the PD or writer sees me, they give an awkward laugh. 'You were a contestant, and now you're working together as a judge.'"
Jung Seung-hwan, who finished as the runner-up at the time, explained, "It's already been 10, 11 years since 'K-pop Star 4' aired."
