'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' Go Woo-rim revealed the circumstances that led him to a secret relationship and decision to marry Kim Yuna.
On the 7th broadcast, KBS 2TV entertainment Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant (hereinafter "Fun-Staurant") featured new chef Go Woo-rim, who revealed his secret dating story with Kim Yuna.
On the day, new chef Go Woo-rim, asked if he was good at cooking, said, "I said I'm 'a bit better than the members,' but after getting married and seeing my wife cook, her skill is no joke," praising his wife's cooking skills.
Lee Yeon-bok said, "Is Kim Yuna good at cooking? She doesn't seem like she would cook; did she have time to cook?" in surprise, and Go Woo-rim revealed photos of dishes Kim Yuna made, saying, "She is a perfectionist."
Everyone admired Kim Yuna's high-level cooking skills, and Go Woo-rim boasted, "She is good at pasta, Mongolian beef, sandwiches, and everything from pot rice onward."
Go Woo-rim started cooking himself using the 'oyakodon' recipe Kim Yuna taught him. At that moment, Lee Yeon-bok mentioned the wedding ring on Go Woo-rim's left ring finger and said, "You must have been surprised when people around you said you were going to marry Kim Yuna."
Go Woo-rim said, "So I was cautious about telling anyone. Among my acquaintances, someone saw my wife's advertisement and wondered, 'Who will Kim Yuna marry?' Then a week later they saw my wedding announcement and said they were surprised," recounting an anecdote from before the wedding.
In the studio, Go Woo-rim said, "That was me," and Kim Jae-joong laughed, "How itchy must their mouths have been?"
Go Woo-rim also said, "The funny thing is, I was very cautious with acquaintances about (dating Kim Yuna), but Yuna comfortably talked about it around the neighborhood," revealing that only he maintained strict secrecy for three years, which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, Go Woo-rim expressed affection, saying, "My wife is my self-esteem," adding, "My wife liked our song. That alone gave me so much strength. Whenever I'm tired and worn out, thinking of my wife, who always becomes my self-esteem, gives me strength."
Recently, Kim Yuna once lashed out at crossing-the-line comments. Go Woo-rim said, "There were comments like, 'Did you save the country in a past life?' and 'Pay more taxes.' Seeing those comments, I thought she might feel bad or get hurt, so I was worried. I was moved that 'my wife was thinking of me,'" expressing gratitude.
Especially about Kim Yuna, Go Woo-rim said, "My wife is very solid. She's mentally strong but has a delicate sensibility. Sometimes she seems strong and reliable, and other times I want to hug and hold her."
He added warmly, "I've always admired women I respect as an ideal type. My wife really lived fiercely. I want to live up to that fierceness. I guarantee there aren't many men who married as well as I did."
When asked about the timing of marrying Kim Yuna, Go Woo-rim began, "Right before we started dating, while we were contacting each other and our feelings were beginning to grow, she gave me such comfort. The sense of stability and even just texting changed my day-to-day life."
He continued, "I thought, 'Wouldn't it be okay to marry someone like this?' and from the time I confessed I talked about marriage first. I said I wanted to meet without thinking for too long," he revealed, surprising listeners.
