'Insamo (a gathering of unpopular people)' members analyze the strengths and weaknesses needed to appeal to fans.
The MBC entertainment program 'Hangout With Yoo' airing on Nov. 8 (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, An Ji-seon, Bang Sung-soo / writer Noh Min-seon) is presented as a pre-meeting episode of 'Insamo (a gathering of unpopular people)'. Leading the 'Insamo' event host Haha, invited to 'Insamo' are actor Heo Sung-tae, Hyun Bong-sik, Han Sang-jin, Kim Kwang-kyu, singer Epik High's Tukutz, comedian Heo Kyung-hwan, broadcaster Jung Joon-ha, and mixed martial artist Choi Hong-man.
In the released photos, the nine 'Insamo' members are pictured discussing with MC Yoo Jae-suk and Joo Woo-jae what they will do next. What they need most is fans' attention. Yoo Jae-suk and Joo Woo-jae share the results of a survey on the members' appeal points and analyze the strengths that trigger fandom and the weaknesses that are entry barriers.
Among them, a multifaceted analysis of Jung Joon-ha's appeal draws attention. Jung Joon-ha, who runs a restaurant, has the advantage of being easily encountered offline, but the resulting unfairness as a weakness is also revealed, drawing interest. The members find, through conversation, the reasons why it's hard to become a fan of Jung Joon-ha, stimulating curiosity.
Surprisingly cute-charming Choi Hong-man, wanting to pass on know-how to Jung Joon-ha, advises, "Because you're older, hyung, you should act cute to attract teenage fans." Choi Hong-man, who has a strong fan base among 'Insamo' members, says, "My appeal differs by age group," and demonstrates, "When I meet teenagers, I absorb them and show my charm." Attention is focused on how he targeted fans by generation.
Meanwhile, Han Sang-jin, who proved his 'Insamo' qualifications himself and was hard-pressed to be invited, is overcome with emotion and ultimately becomes choked up. Haha recounts Han Sang-jin's delusion episode of thirsting for popularity and even gives him the nickname 'Mangsang-jin,' provoking laughter.
MBC's 'Hangout With Yoo,' in which the charms, strengths and weaknesses of members including Han Sang-jin, who is sincere about 'Insamo,' will be revealed, will air on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m.
