On the 7th, Park Wi released a video on his YouTube channel 'WERACLE' titled 'After 11 years of full-body paralysis, I stood on my two feet and hugged Ji-eun while looking at her.'
In the video, Park Wi rose from his wheelchair with the help of friends at a gym, leaning on a pull-up bar. When his wife asked, "Are you in pain? Shall I help?" Park Wi burst into laughter and affectionately said, "Hold me."
This is not Park Wi's first 'standing on two feet challenge.' In August, he also stood up with the help of rehabilitation equipment and moved many when he was shown being embraced by Song Ji-eun. When Park Wi finally stood up after heading to the rehabilitation room, Song Ji-eun smiled brightly and, with tears in her eyes, said, "Oppa, you look like the person who used to stand. It doesn't feel awkward at all."
Unable to hide her joy, Song Ji-eun hugged her husband playfully, and Park Wi looked at his wife warmly and said, "She's lovely." He added, "Let's really get up soon. I want to do small things together. Holding hands and walking. I shouldn't say more. I'll really get up," revealing his overwhelming emotions.
Park Wi, who was diagnosed with full-body paralysis after an unexpected accident in 2014, never gave up and has been steadily dedicated to rehabilitation. He shared the process on YouTube, offering hope and courage to many.
