KBS2 'Immortal Songs' will unveil the love story of 'national mentor' Oh Eun-young.
KBS2 'Immortal Songs' (directed by Park Hyung-geun, Kim Hyung-seok, Choi Seung-beom/hereafter 'Immortal Songs') is the undisputed top music variety program with a history spanning more than 700 episodes. The 730th episode airing today (8) is presented as the 'notable figures special: Oh Eun-young' special.
Oh Eun-young, who has given life advice and healing to many, opens up about her life in earnest on this special. Among other things, Oh Eun-young drew attention by revealing the behind-the-scenes story of marrying her first boyfriend, whom she met while attending Yonsei University College of Medicine. Oh Eun-young began, "Both my husband and I are each other's first love," then recalled with a smile, "At the time I had so much studying to do that I didn't even have time to wash my hair, but love couldn't be stopped."
When MC Shin Dong-yup asked, "Do Dr. Oh Eun-young and your husband ever fight?", Oh Eun-young replied, "We do quarrel. We dated for nine years, and especially in the first six months we fought a lot," surprising everyone. Oh Eun-young said, "I once shouted, 'Don't follow me.' Then he would follow behind with a waddling walk smiling, and that was cute," and added affectionately about her husband, "When I look at his face he's so cute. I don't think I can resist cuteness." Hearing this, Shin Dong-yup testified, "I've eaten with your husband too, and he is really cute," drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, after hearing Seomun-tak's rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine," Oh Eun-young said, "Whenever I hear this song I always think of my husband. He is a presence that is firmly settled in my heart," prompting cheers. Then Oh Eun-young mentioned the deep trust with her husband and said, "When I'm with my husband I feel more love for humanity, and I develop a love for people," which reportedly moved everyone.
Meanwhile, the protagonist of this specially planned notable-figures special by 'Immortal Songs' is Dr. Oh Eun-young, the 'national mentor.' This special will not only tell Dr. Oh Eun-young's life story but will also feature performances by a total of 10 artist teams, including Seomun-tak, Jadu, Ali, Nam Sang-il & Kim Tae-yeon, Woody, Eun Ga-eun & Park Hyun-ho, Kim Ki-tae, ONEWE, Mushvenom, and Jung Seung-won, promising to offer viewers healing and emotion. This further raises expectations for the main broadcast of 'Immortal Songs,' which will come with even more diverse entertainment.
The 'Immortal Songs: notable figures special Oh Eun-young' episode will air in two parts, beginning today (8) and continuing through the 15th (Sat). 'Immortal Songs,' which produces legendary videos you want to watch again and again, airs every Saturday at 6:05 p.m. on KBS 2TV.
